libcppunit-dev software package provides Unit Testing Library for C++, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcppunit-dev
libcppunit-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcppunit-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcppunit-dev *
You will get with libcppunit-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
